The Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction celebrates women’s writing. It is awarded annually for the best full-length novel by a female author of any nationality, written in English and published in the UK in the preceding year. It has become one of the most prestigious awards in the literary calendar.

The winner receives £30,000, which is anonymously endowed, and a limited edition bronze figurine called the 'Bessie' (also anonymously endowed).
